7 booked for abetment to suicide

Ludhiana, January 16

The city police have booked seven persons for abetment to suicide of a property dealer at Daba Road.

The deceased has been identified as Yogesh Khurana (56), a resident of Gurpal Nagar. Yogesh went to his shop in the morning, but when his son went to the shop after sometime, he found Yogesh hanging from the ceiling fan. The police from Daba police station recovered a suicide note.

Kuldeep Singh, SHO, Daba police station said: “In a brief suicide note, the victim named seven persons responsible for his death. He did not mention the reason. We are suspecting that there must be some financial issue among them. We are investigating the matter.” —TNS
