Boy rapes minor, thrashed by family

Faridkot, January 21

A youth allegedly entered the ancestral house of a senior IAS officer in Arianwala village last night and raped a minor girl belonging to the family living as caretakers in the house.

Sources said the family members allegedly nabbed the accused on the spot and gave him a severe beating. The accused also attacked them and injured three family members. They were admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot.

The police have registered a criminal case against the boy for the offence of rape, trespassing and intimidation. The police were looking into the accused’s allegations of murder bid by the family. Both rape victim and the accused are reported to be minors.
