SONEPAT, AUGUST 23
The police arrested Mohit of Jassia village in Rohtak district for allegedly assaulting police personnel, misbehaving with a woman after hitting her car in the rear near Rai village last evening. He was allegedly under the influence of liquor.
On the complaint of ASI Ramesh and head constable Vikas, a case was registered against Mohit in Rai police station. He was today produced in the court which released him on bail.
The police said Babita of Delhi was going to Panipat in her car last evening. When she was near Rai, her car was hit in the rear by another car driven by Mohit. As Mohit allegedly started misbehaving with her after the accident, she informed the police.
ASI Ramesh and head constable Vikas reached the spot and tried to pacify Mohit and Babita. Mohit allegedly misbehaved with the cops and tore head constable’s uniform. He was overpowered and taken in custody. — OC
