CEO of santabanta.com held

The Chandigarh Police have arrested the chairman of santabanta.com, an entertainment portal, for deterring public servant from discharge of his duty during an anti-encroachment drive at Sector 35 here today.
JD Ghai, the accused, will be produced in court tomorrow.
Inspector Ram Dayal, SHO, Sector 36 police station, said the accused had encroached government land. “When a joint team of officials from the UT Administration and the Municipal Corporation went to remove the encroachment behind his showroom, the accused disrupted them,” the SHO added.
A case under Sections 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the IPC has been registered at the Sector 36 police station.
