The Dhabota police have registered a cheating and forgery case against a lower division clerk employed with Chail-based Rastriya Military School.
The clerk had furnished a forged medical certificate for availing leave for regularising his absence from the school.
A case was registered on the complaint of the school principal, who stated that when the issue regarding bogus medical leave claimed by clerk Dharminder Kumar came to his notice, a letter was sent to the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nalagarh to verify the veracity of the medical certificate.
The contents of the letter send by the BMO stated that the outdoor patient slip furnished by the clerk had been issued in the name of another patient and not in the name of Dharminder.
Even the medical certificate supposedly issued by the Community Health Centre, Nalagarh, which was produced by Dharminder was found to be bogus and signatures of the doctor on the certificate were also forged.
