Hit by bus, 11-yr-old girl killed in Kalka

Kalka, July 20

An 11-year-old girl was killed after a bus hit her while she was walking her way to school here today.

According to the information available, Gulshana, the daughter of Yasin, a migrant labourer who lives in Kiratpur village of Pinjore block, was on her way to school at Basaulan village, adjacent to Pinjore, when a recklessly driven bus while trying to overtake a truck near Garidan petrol pump hit the girl.

She was rushed to a private hospital in Pinjore where doctors declared her as brought dead.

Police sources said a case had been registered in this regard and the bus impounded.

The body was handed over to the deceased’s family after the post-mortem examination was conducted at the Kalka community health centre.
