Jailed gangster’s brother shot dead in Gurgaon
Gurgaon, October 18
Unidentified gunmen shot dead Manish Gujjar, elder brother of jailed gangster Binder Gujjar, here last night.
Sources said Manish, 42, was going to collect cash from one of his liquor shops in a car when nearly four-five assailants fired at him in New colony.
Manish, his driver Sukhbir and aide Liyakat were injured and rushed to a private hospital where Manish succumbed to his injuries, the police said. Sukhbir and Liyakat were undergoing treatment in the hospital.
“Four-five gunmen waiting near the liquor vend fired at him while he was in the car. Manish, his driver and another person were rushed to the hospital where Manish died,” said a police spokesperson.
Manish was a liquor trader and operated several liquor vends in the district.
The police said nearly 15 rounds were fired and suspected that the murder was a result of an inter-gang rivalry.
Manish’s younger brother Binder, a rival of slain gangster Sandeep Gadoli, is serving a term in Bhondsi jail in connection with the murder of property dealer Raju Sethi on November 10, 2015. — Agencies
