Kingpin of drug racket held in K’shetra

Kurukshetra, July 31
Richpal Singh, owner of the ‘white house’ on the Kurukshetra-Pehowa road from where the police recovered 190 quintals of poppy husk during a raid in June, has been arrested.
The accused belongs to Kahangarh Gharncho village of Patiala district in Punjab.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Simardeep Singh said, “Richpal, the kingpin of a drug racket, was arrested near Ambala last night.”
The SP said, “The police have recovered a pistol, six live rounds and an XUV vehicle from his possession. During the preliminary investigation, Richpal disclosed he used to bring poppy husk from Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and was operating his drug trafficking business (packing and distribution) from here.”
