Mohali, December 11
The police booked Kriscpy Khaira, her husband Davinder Gill, alias Davinder Thapa, and three employees of Bharti Immigration Company, including manager Pooja Mahajan, for cheating and criminal conspiracy last night.
Ravi Kumar, the victim, alleged that he and the other complainant had given around Rs 11 lakh to the accused for sending them to Australia.
“Neither they sent us to Australia, nor did they return our money,” alleged Ravi. The complainants along with members of the Hindu Suraksha Samiti protested in front of the company’s office last night. The police reached the spot and pacified the protesters.
Davinder Gill is facing a number of cases. On his wife Kriscpy Khaira’s complaint, the Mohali police had registered a case of molestation against Punjab Police IG Gautam Cheema last year.
On the complaint of the youths, a case under Sections 420, 120 B and relevant sections of the Immigration Act has been registered against the accused at the Phase XI police station.
