The police have booked a Panchkula resident for sending vulgar messages on a woman’s mobile phone.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Kulbhushan Singla, had come in contact with the victim on the pretext of helping her in a dispute. Singla, however, started sending vulgar SMS on the victim’s mobile. A case under the IT Act has been registered at the Sector 34 police station and an investigation has been initiated. No arrest has been made so far.

Impersonator held

 

The Chandigarh Police have booked Mandeep Singh and Sunil Kumar, both residents of Kaithal in Haryana, for allegedly using unfair means during an examination at Sector 19 on Friday. Police sources said Mandeep was arrested from the examination hall of Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 19, while appearing in ‘stenography skill test’ in place of Sunil. The incident came to light during verification of documents. — TNS
