Man duped of Rs 3.74 lakh

Two fraudsters cheated a retired government official of Rs 3.74 lakh on the pretext of installing a mobile tower on the rent of Rs 75,000 every month on the top floor of his showroom in Sector 82, Mohali. 

The fraudsters had introduced themselves as representatives of Delhi and Banglore-basedTelecommunication Company. The victim, Kartar Singh of Sector 43, came to know about the fake identity of the accused from the representatives of the telecommunication company at IT Park, Mani Majra. The accused had introduced themselves as one Akhilesh Aggarwal of Delhi and Ramanand Yadav of Bangalore. In his complaint, Kartar maintained that he was approached by the two men informing him about the scheme of their company regarding the installation of a 3G tower.— TNS
