A 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near the backside of Tehsil Complex, Dera Bassi, today. The deceased has been identified as Vishal Kumar Sharma, a resident of Sadhu Nagar, Dera Bassi.
It was around 7 am that Vishal’s body was found hanging from a tree by a few shopkeepers on the premises of Tehsil Complex. The deceased was running a photocopy shop there. They informed the police immediately. The police rushed to the spot and took the body into their possession.
The police had also recovered a suicide note in which Vishal had blamed RC Ahuja for taking the extreme step as the latter had filed a false case against him. Earlier, Vishal and Ahuja were partners in property business but two parted ways. Ahuja had filed a case against Vishal.
During preliminary investigations, it was found that Vishal was under depression and his financial condition was also not good. His family members alleged that Vishal did not return home last night. On the complaint of his wife Ritu Sharma, a case has been registered against Ahuja and investigation were on in this regard.
