Newly-wed couple found dead in Dariya

Chandigarh, April 10

The bodies of a newly married couple were found under mysterious circumstances at their house in Dariya near Mauli Jagran. While the husband’s body was found hanging, his wife’s body was found lying on the bed.

According to the police, the victims, Pankaj Rawat and his wife Neelam, were found dead by family members in the morning. They informed the police.

The police said there were some marks on Neelam’s neck. Sources said Pankaj’s vein was also found cut. Family members claimed that the door of the room was locked from inside. The couple was rushed to the GMCH-32, where doctors declared them brought dead.

The sources said the couple got married in January this year. Pankaj was working as a clerk in the Electricity Department, Haryana.

The autopsy of the victims was conducted. The reports are awaited.
