Rohtak, November 25
Praveen, a 35-year-old prisoner, allegedly committed suicide at the district jail located in Sunaria village last evening.
The police has registered a case in this regard.
Deputy Jail Superintendent Sudarshan said Praveen, who was paralysed, used to move around in a wheelchair.
“He hanged himself from a water pipe in a bathroom with a wiping cloth last evening,” the jail superintendent stated.
The prisoner who belonged to Narnaul in Mahendragarh district was jailed in connection with a murder case.
The body was handed over to his family after the autopsy.
