Sources said personal enmity and verbal duel between two groups led to a scuffle.

There was an enmity between Sunil Kumar and Anil Kumar and last night both threw each other’s belongings out of their respective shops.

A fight resumed this morning and Anil attacked Sunil with a sharp edged weapon and hit him on his arm while Sunil fired at Anil. But the bullet hit Pradeep’s ear, who was trying to resolve the matter.

Shimla Superintendent of Police (SP) DW Negi said both the injured were under observation at the IGMC. The police had received complaints from both the parties and they had been called to the police station to give their versions.

The sections in the FIR would be incorporated after listening to both the sides, he added.
