Sources said despite ample security given by the local administration, students were adamant to leave. However, the administration managed to ensure that there was no mass exodus and the situation remains peaceful.

Meanwhile, Delhi-Lahore bus was reportedly shown black flags by members of the Shiv Sena, Punjab, near the IOCL depot on the Ambala-Delhi National Highway today.

Karan Kumar, state president of Haryana of Shiv Sena, Punjab, claimed: “We have shown black flags to the bus today to mark our protest against Pakistan. We demand that the government must end all its ties with Pakistan. If the government failed to act against Pakistan, the Shiv Sena will hold protests.”
