Allavaru appointed Youth Cong in-charge

New Delhi, January 25

Congress president Rahul Gandhi today appointed Krishna Allavaru, a low-profile strategist in his team, the in-charge of Indian Youth Congress, creating a rank of the joint secretary AICC for him. There is no tradition of such a rank in the party.

Allavaru will replace Karnataka leader Suraj Hegde, who has resigned from the post. He was Rahul’s point person for the Punjab assembly elections last year. — TNS
