The Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) said that ex-Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal and president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Sukhbir Singh Badal are 'traitors for Sikh Panth' following the report of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission that indicted them in sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib and killing of two youths at Bargari (Punjab) in 2015.

SADD president Paramjit Singh Sarna appealed to the people to excommunicate Badals religiously and socially till they seek apology.

In a five-point resolution passed by the SADD at a convention, Sarna said “in October 2015, after the incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib in various parts in Punjab during the regime of Parkash Singh Badal, Sikhs held peaceful demonstration at Bargari, Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura, where police at the instance of Badal government fired at demonstrators killing two youth and injuring several people. In the past also, on 13 April 1978 on Baisakhi Day, 13 Sikhs were killed by the police at the instance of so called Panthak government of Badal Dal.”

“After considering these incidents of bloodshed, today assembly of people unanimously resolved to declare Parkash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Singh Badal and their accomplice traitor of Sikh Panth", he said.

It was also unanimously resolved that the Sikh Sangat should completely boycott them by not extending any social, religious or political support till they not tender public pardon from Sikh panth and Guru Sahib for their heinous crimes.

The resolution also appealed to the government of Punjab to book the perpetrators under appropriate laws of the land within the time frame.

It condemned the anti-Panthak acts of all members and officebearers of the DSGMC who appreciated and supported the pardon extended to Sirsa Dera Chief by Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib.

It also condemned the conduct of Manjit Singh GK towards NRI Sikhs during his recent USA visit, which had severely humiliated the Delhi’s Sikh Sangat abroad.
