CBI books 5 DoPT officials

The CBI booked five officials, including an under secretary, in the Department of Personnel and Training allegedly on corruption charges and carried out searches at 11 places today.

The CBI has taken action on the basis of a complaint from the DoPT.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
