DDA clarifies demolition action

New Delhi, September 2

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) today clarified that it had informed the jhuggi dwellers at Shamsi Talab in Mehruali before taking demolition action at the jhuggi cluster.

The DDA through a letter has intimated the Delhi Government that demolition of approximately 21 jhuggies on its land at Shamsi Talab, Mehrauli, was carried out on August 26. —TNS
