New Delhi, October 11 

Observing Spinal Cord Injury Day, differently-abled artists and athletes today gave a series of spellbound performances, including wheelchair race with a message that being handicapped is not a limitation in achieving excellence in life.

The event organised by the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre (ISIC) in association with Spinal Cord Society was attended by Union Social Justice Minister Thanwar Chand Gehlot. 

Major HPS Ahluwalia, chairman, ISIC; Dr HS Chhabra, president, International Spinal Cord Society as well as Association of Spine Surgeons of India and medical director and chief of ISIC too attended the event.

Forty wheelchair persons competed with 60 able bodied in an inclusive wheelchair race.
