DMRC launches e-rickshaw service for Faridabad commuters

New Delhi, December 2

With a view to provide convenience to its commuters by ensuring last mile connectivity from the areas which fall under Faridabad, the e-rickshaw service was formally flagged-off from the Escorts Mujesar Metro Station today by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Director (Operations) Sharat Sharma. Now Faridabad has become third city in NCR that has this facility.

Vaishali in Ghaziabad and HUDA City Centre have already been given this facility. This is only the first fleet of 150 e-rickshaws being launched today which will cover four Metro stations in Faridabad - Escorts Mujesar, Bata Chowk, Neelam Ajronda Chowk and Old Faridabad. In 2018, a total of 1,000 e-rickshaws will cover all the stations which fall under Faridabad region of Haryana.
