Govt conducts mega PTM in 1,041 schools

The government today organised this year's first mega parent-teacher meeting in its 1,041 schools across the city, saying it received a good response.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, said the idea of holding PTMs is institutionalising parent-teacher engagement and that stands achieved.
The exercise, which used to be limited to only big private schools, has now become an integral feature of the culture of government schools, underlined Sisodia who visited schools in Hari Nagar and Shakti Nagar.
During the sessions, schools authorities informed parents about performance of their ward and concerns if any and the changes notified by CBSE in the examination scheme for class 9-12 like requirement of 33 per cent marks (27 marks out of 80 marks) for passing and inclusion of complete syllabus in final examination.
