BJP in charge Shyam Jaju today flagged off Kisan Jagriti Yatra from party state office here. The yatra has been launched to create awareness among farmers about various schemes launched by the Union Government for their welfare.
The yatra has been organized by Mudra Agriculture and Skill Development and Multi State Co-Operative Society Limited.
This yatra will cover a distance of 873 km and will end at Vad Nagar, the birth place of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The aim of this initiative is to inform farmers about various steps taken by the government to improve the condition of the farmers. Such steps include the Crop Insurance Scheme, concessions given by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, services offered by the Agricultural Science Centre, livestock and fisheries and increase in the level of milk production.
