Newly elected MLA of Rajouri Garden, Manjinder Singh Sirsa today took oath in Punjabi language as Member of Delhi Legislative Assembly. With this ceremony, the BJP will have four MLAs in the assembly House.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel administered oath to Sirsa, who won April 9 assembly by-election of Rajouri Garden with a huge margin.

Later talking to newsmen after taking oath, Sirsa said he is thankful to the people of Rajouri Garden for reposing faith in him and assured them that he would work to fulfil their aspirations.

He said that mandate of the Rajouri Garden is mandate for development of area. He assured to raise issues of public concern, including their welfare, inside and outside the assembly House.

Sirsa further said this election has provided an opportunity to him to raise non performance of AAP government and false and misleading promises made to people by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his team.

He said after giving crushing defeat to the AAP in the assembly by-election and MCD elections whose results would be declared tomorrow now people wanted to establish pro-people government led by the BJP in Delhi and eagerly waiting for snap polls.

Leader of Opposition in assembly Vijender Gupta, BJP MLA Jagdish Pradhan, DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK, executive member Paramjit Singh Chandhok and many other BJP and Akali leaders were present at the oath ceremony.
