The Aam Aadmi Party today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled municipal corporations are serving the interests of parking mafia in the national Capital.
Condemning the recently announced hike in parking rates in the city, AAP Laxmi Nagar MLA Nitin Tyagi alleged that in the name of collecting parking charges, mafia is looting and flourishing with political patronage.
"In this loot collectively both the BJP and Congress leaders are involved. Parking mafia is collecting taxes from people in the city at its own whims and the BJP has turned a blind eye to this loot. This is happening under its political patronage," he said during a press briefing here.
