NBCC, DDA get challan orders for waterlogging

The Delhi Government has issued challan orders against NBCC and DDA for waterlogging at AIIMS flyover and Sarita Vihar underpass directing them to clear the debris in the areas within 24 hours.
The order issued under section 133 CrPC by the area SDMs directs the two organisations to ensure removal of debris and other obstructions within 24 hours and submission of progress reports to the authorities concerned.
Section 133 CrPC empowers the magistrate/SDM to take all relevant action for removal of nuisance and order prosecution in case of non-compliance.
