Photographer made frantic calls to friends minutes before he was killed

Ankit Saxena, a professional photographer who was brutally stabbed to death by the family of his alleged girlfriend, made frantic calls to his friends to tell them that his life could be in danger minutes before he was killed.
CCTV camera footage, which has surfaced on February 1, shows Ankit’s last few minutes before he was attacked for allegedly being in a relationship with a girl belonging to another religion.
The CCTV camera footage, captured around 8.5 pm, shows Ankit pacing by the street, making calls on his phone. Seven minutes later, he was killed by the girl’s father, who slit his throat.
What happened suddenly that Ankit was killed by the girl’s uncle and her juvenile brother when she was having affair with him for the past four years?
Actually the girl, Sehzadi, was going to turn 18-year old and both had planned to marry soon. According to police sources, Sehzadi had an argument with her family when she told them that she wanted to marry him. Around 7.50 pm on February 1, she left her house and locked her mother and brother inside.
First family searched Sehzadi but when she was not found the family reached Ankit’s house and girl’s mother started quarrelling with Ankit’s mother. Later, Sehzadi’s father, uncle and minor brother started beating Ankit.
After which Ankit’s father came out of the house and other neighbours gathered when Ankit was being beaten. Ankit had also asked to call police but by then Sehzadi’s family killed him with a chopping knife and fled the spot.
According to the sources, both the families were staying in the same colony but when Sehzadi’s family got to know about her relationship with Ankit they shifted to other place. And a year ago Sehzadi’s parents had fixed her marriage somewhere else, but Sehzadi broke her engagement.
Sehzadi’s mother owns a beauty parlour in Old Raghubeer Nagar.
This has also come to light that Ankit after been stabbed was lying on the ground profusely bleeding and his mother who was beaten fainted and was lying on the road.
Ankit’s father was shouting for help and asked people to help him take his son to the hospital, but nobody came ahead. After sometime an e-rickshaw driver helped the father to take Ankit to the hospital.
According to police, the crowd caught hold girl’s uncle who was trying to run away after killing Ankit. Girl’s whole family was planning to flee Kolkata, but 15 police teams nabbed the family.
On Sunday, Ankit’s ashes were taken to Haridwar for last rites.
Many people today gathered in the area and took out candle march to seek justice for the victim.
Meanwhile, under attack by the Opposition, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today met the family of Ankit Saxena and assured them of all legal help.
