Raja Garden DC office to cost Rs 27 cr

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju today laid the foundation stone of the office of Deputy Commissioner (DC) at District Centre in Raja Garden. The office would be built at the cost of Rs 27.32 crore, said DC (West), CR Garg.

The present office has been functioning in an old school building since 1997. The state-of-the-art office will be based on the green building concept. It will be constructed by the the PWD within 21 months.
"It will accommodate DC, ADM, two SDMs, two Tehsildars, disaster management branch, election branch and other revenue officials. It will ensure efficient service delivery to the people," Garg said.
