Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia flagged off a fleet of 55 modern and high-tech CATs ambulances for providing services to the patients in emergency at a function organized at Connaught Place in New Delhi today.
He said that another fleet of 55 ambulances would be added to the fleet soon. Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister had inaugurated a world-class control room at Laxmi Nagar in TransYamuna area to monitor and provide CATs ambulance services. The control room will have the facility of monitoring as well as mapping the ambulance services.
Of the 110 new ambulances, 100 have basic life support and 10 have advance life support system. The ambulances have all life saving equipment as per the guidelines.
Sisodia also launched a call 102 App for availing the services of CATs ambulances.
Health Minister, Satyender Jain, Parliamentary Secretaries, a number of MLAs, Chief Secretary K. K. Sharma were also present on the occasion.
A modern control room has been established in Shakarpur dispensary which is the nerve centre. The control room has provisions to identify the location of the caller, SMS confirmation to the caller, link to track the ambulance allotted, etc.
