New Delhi, July 25
The Special Cell today arrested a sharpshooter and his accomplice for in a murder case from Rohini. They were wanted for the murder of Rattan Lal, a resident of Thakran Village.
The accused have been identified as Sonu and Himmat. Sonu was sharpshooter of the Tillu gang and for the past few months he has been indulged in eliminating the members of the rival gang, Jitender, of Alipur, police said.
The police have declared Rs 25,000 on his arrest.
According to the police, Rattan Lal was shot dead in Rohini while he was sitting in his shop.
During investigation it was revealed that Rattan Lal was a key witness in the murder case of Gaurav, son of Manjeet of Nangal Thakran. His statement could have weaken the trial of this case, the police said.
