The trial in an Indo-Canadian love triangle which led to the murder of a woman in Ottawa in January 2014 is set to begin. The process to select the jury for the trial began yesterday.

Gurpreet Ronald, 36, and Bhupinderpal Gill, 39, face first-degree murder charges in connection with the death of Gill’s wife Jagtar Gill.

Since Gurpreet’s marriage with Jason was reportedly running into problems, it led to suspicions of her romantic links with Bhupinderpal. Bhupinderpal’s wife was murdered at the family’s home in south Ottawa on their wedding anniversary. —IANS
