Dist BJP terms Sidhu couple as opportunist

The district BJP unit has termed the Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu as oppurtunist. It flayed Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu after her joining the Congress recently.

Addressing the media today, district BJP president Rajesh Honey, once a close aide of Navjot Singh Sidhu, said: “It is an act of opportunism as Dr Sidhu joined the Congress after enjoying power as MLA and CPS with the BJP for five years.” He said the Sidhu couple had joined the Congress which they had been terming as corrupt for so long. BJP leader Dr Baldev Raj Chawla said Dr Sidhu had been criticising Capt Amarinder Singh for doing nothing for Amritsar as an MP and his low attendance in the Parliament. The Sidhu couple had joined the Congress for their own interest and it had nothing to do with the development of the city. — TNS
