150 students honoured at Dakha college

Dakha (Ludhiana), March 31

The annual prize distribution function of GTB National College, Dakha, was organised on Tuesday.

Students recited shabads. Principal Dr Guriqbal Singh welcomed chief guest Charanjit Singh Atwal and read out the annual report.

Achievements of the college were highlighted. Charanjit Singh Atwal urged students to work hard and make their parents proud.

He called for the promotion of mother tongue.

The chief guest announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh from his discretionary quota. As many as 150 students were honoured. Eight students Manjot Singh, Amar Singh, Gurinder Singh, Paramveer Singh, Harpal Singh, Rajveer Kaur, Amarinder Kaur and Manpreet Chawla were felicitated.

Best athletes Gurjeet Kaur, Dungarpratap Singh and Ranjodh Singh were also awarded.

College toppers were given Capt Jagir Singh Memorial Trophies. College president Anand Saroop Singh Mohie, secretary Dr Harbans Singh, Harbir Singh Ayali and other guests graced the occasion.
