2,000 students appear in entrance exam at Dev Sanskriti University

Around 2,000 students took the entrance exam for various courses at Dev Sanskriti University here today. The results would be declared on July 13 and the interviews for BA, B Sc and BCA would be held on July 16 and 17.
The interviews of candidates, who have applied for postgraduate and diploma courses, would be held on July 20. Mahendra Sharma, examination controller, said besides Uttarakhand, candidates from Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and New Delhi appeared in the exam.
A special ‘gyan deeksha’ function would be held for the new academic session at the university to welcome freshers. The results of Phd and M Sc at Gurukul Kangri University would be declared on July 14.
Examination in charge Prof MR Verma said 780 students from across the country took the Phd entrance exam, while 1,799 students appeared in the M Sc entrance exam.
It was the last day for the submission of admission forms for the new academic session at Chinmaya College of Science, Shivalik Nagar-BHEL.
Office superintendent, Chinmaya College of Science, RK Chauturvedi, said the list of successful candidates for all courses would be released by July 20 and the new session would commence in the August first week.
The last date for applying for admission to BA courses at Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sati Kund, Kankhal, has been extended till tomorrow. Principal Dr Geeta Joshi said owing to fewer applicants the date had been extended.
