The process of admissions in different undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Dairy Technology and Biotechnology has started at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University with calling of online applications.

University Registrar, Dr Sushil Prabhakar, informed that the candidates have to apply only online for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for academic session 2017-18.

The prospectus containing detailed information on admission process including seat capacity, counselling/interview and reservation of seats etc. has been made available on the university website (www.gadvasu.in).

The admissions to undergraduate programmes are made on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET), to be held on June 15. The candidates are required to visit directly the site www.gadvasuadmissions.com or link at www.gadvasu.in and click on “Apply Now”.

They will be taken to the systematic channel to fill all the columns in the form. Candidates who have studied (Biology or Mathematics) at 10+2 level shall be able to compete in the CET for admission to biotechnology programme.

The eligibility for admission to undergraduate programmes in the College of Veterinary Science and College of Fisheries is 10+2 with medical stream from a recognised Board/University, while for College of Dairy Science and Technology the eligibility is 10+2 with non-medical stream.

The last date to apply online for admission to undergraduate programs is 15th May (21st May with late fee). For postgraduate programmes, the online application can be submitted upto 19th June (27th June with late fee). The admission to Master’s programme for residents of Punjab/Chandigarh in Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Dairy Technology and Animal Biotechnology will be based on the merit of the entrance exam (AIEEA-PG-2017) conducted by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. He further informed that GADVASU has been ranked very high among the top Universities as per recent rankings by the NIRF (National Intuitional Ranking Framework) by the Govt. of India, that has generated lot of interest of among the future students of GADVASU.
