Agricultural varsity students bring laurels

Ludhiana, March 4
Students of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) brought laurels to the university by winning basketball (men), volleyball (men) and badminton (men) events during the XVIth All-India Inter Agricultural University Games and Sports Meet 2015-16, organised at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, from February 22-26.
In addition, students won six medals in athletics, runners-up trophy in badminton (women) and an overall trophy in team games (men).
Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, lauded the students and staff of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare for their achievements.
Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, PAU, felicitated the students for their hard work and untiring efforts.
As many as 40 sports-stunners of PAU, accompanied by four officials, represented the university and participated energetically in various sports events.
