In the first 15 minutes, all 36 seats of BCom-I at GGDSD College, Sector 32, got filled on the first day of the centralised counselling for students under the general pool for 11 city colleges at Panjab University.
This year, the highest percentage in SD College went up to 112.89 per cent.
The second in the fray was the MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36, which admitted students with percentage up to 112. In fact, Post Graduate Government College (co-edu), Sector 11, lead among the government colleges by admitting students with 11.4 per cen while the Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector 11, admitted student with the highest percentage of 111.2.
The seats of all colleges under the general category filled on the first day
of the counselling. The counselling will continue for the next three days on the campus.
PU BCom admission coordinator Sanjay Kaushik said all the seats for both the general and reserved categories got filled on the first day of the counselling.
The highest score in the ST category was 105.2 while 109.11 for the SC category.
SD College top choice of students
All 36 seats of BCom-I at the GGDSD College were filled in the first 15 minutes of the commencement of the centralised counselling at the PU. This year, the highest percentage was 112.89%.
Minor scuffle
There was a minor scuffle among SOI workers on the issue of helping students outside the Law Auditorium i.e. the venue for the counselling.
Projector for students
For the first time, a projector was installed outside the counselling venue to keep the students, who were waiting for their turn, updated about the admission details of every college.
