All seats filled at GGDSD College-32 on first day

In less than two hours on the first day of the counselling for centralised admission to Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) courses, all seats were filled at GGDSD College, Sector 32, as it was the first preference for students.

The situation was similar for the general category seats at the college.

The counselling was held for Panjab University’s affiliated colleges today.

For 212 seats available under the UT pool at SD College, the students did not give option for any other college in the city.

While the general category cut-off for SD College has gone up to 114.4 from last year’s 111.2, the UT pool cut-off is almost the same as last year at 108.04. Under the UT pool, the last rank today admitted was 350 and under the general category, it was 606 in city colleges.

In other colleges under the general pool, 30 seats were filled at MCM DAV College for Women, and 36 seats were filled at DAV College. Sixteen seats each were filled at Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Post Graduate Government College for Girls (PGGCG) 11, PGGCG 42, Post Graduate Government Colleges in Sector 11 and Sector 46.
