Annual day celebrated

Patiala: Podar International School, Patiala, celebrated its second annual day at the local Kalidasa Auditorium. The annual day of the school aptly named “Akbar Birbal Ki Noke Jhoke” was a showcase of how talented the little Podarites really are. The two-hour event brought to life the colours of childhood with programmes ranging from exhibition of dances, songs and drama. The bedazzling performances and the giving away of annual awards was graced by the chief guest, Madhu Chopra, a renowned educationist and poetess of the city. School principal Rajesh Puri said: “Most people from outside the school would think of ‘Akbar Birbal Ki Noke Jhoke’ as a one-off event. However, this is what we do that we nurture talent, what you see here is the culmination of hard work that the students and their teachers put in throughout the year”. The chief guest appreciated and congratulated the students as well as the entire team of the school for the grand success of the event.

Farewell & Blessing Ceremony 

The most awaited event, “Farewell & Blessing Ceremony (2015-16), of the Senior Ryanites of Ryan International School, Patiala, was celebrated with gusto and fervour. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Managing Director of the Ryan International Group of Institutions, Grace Pinto. The highlight of the day was the candlelight ceremony wherein Class XII graders passed on the candle of knowledge to their succeeding batch. On the occasion, the best performers of Class XII, Harshpreet Narang, Winnerdeep, Bani, Sukhman, Saamarth and Shaifali and Class X, Prabhav, Riya, Uttkarsh, Sapna, Sehajdeep, Aditi, Aakriti, Harmanpreet, Aasawari, Niranjan, Suhani, Janvi, Vibhor and Samridhi were also awarded under 12 different categories. The prestigious Ryan Prince and Princess award were bagged by Manjot and Seerat, respectively.  The ceremony came to a finale with the cake-cutting ceremony by the MD and the prince and princess. — TNS
