Flower arrangement competition was organised at Guru Nanak Public School (GNPS). The Inter-House Fresh Flower Arrangement Competition saw as many as 200 students take part in the event.
The participants utilised their knowledge and research about flowers to choose the right foliage and make striking combinations of different flowers.
“I spent a lot of time learning this skill to participate in the event. But it was worth the efforts as now, I can create some very attractive fresh floral arrangements,” said a student. “Rather than using artificial flowers, using fresh flowers are an excellent way to create some great pieces of beauty,” added a participant.
Interesting captions were also given by students to their creations. Parents of the students, present on the occasion, also lauded the efforts of the children. Tributes were paid to the victims of the Peshawar terrorist attack.
Principal Mona Singh said such events help in strengthening the relationship between man and nature.
