Dehradun, August 9
An inter-house folk dance and bhajan competition was held at The Aryan School on Saturday evening.
The show was significant as all four houses— Rig, Sama, Yajur and Atharva— enthralled the gathering with their melodious and soulful bhajans.
The audiences were left spell bound by folk dances of Gujarat, Punjab, Kashmir and Rajasthan, presented by the students.
Judges, parents and guests were overwhelmed to see such a show, full of spirit and zeal. The judges for the event were Vishal Mishra, a sitar maestro, Ramita Kaintura, vocal (classical), and Vidya Vasan, coordinator of SpicMacay, Dehradun.
Principal of the school B Dasgupta congratulated all the four houses and the participants. She said such competitions helped students bring out their hidden talents and creativity.
Dr VP Gupta, chairman; Sunny Gupta, vice-chairman; Simi Gupta, a board member; staff and students were present.
