Aviation law course on cards

A moot court competition inaugurated this morning virtually opened a new chapter in the country's aviation laws history. The organiser, Sarin Memorial Legal Aid Foundation, today announced its plans to start classes in aviation laws at the Army Institute of Law.
The session also turned out to be a lesson in practical advocacy for the budding lawyers, with the speakers doling out constructive tips and underscoring the importance of mooting for achieving proficiency and excellence.
Inaugural session
Organised in collaboration with the Army Institute of Law for selecting three teams to represent India in the finals at Valletta, Malta, from April 6 to April 9, the "Eighth Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition" was inaugurated by Justice AK Mittal of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The course
Taking off in a new direction, Sarin said the foundation was hoping to start classes in aviation laws 'very soon' at the Army Institute of Law; and the foundation was willing to make financial contributions for the purpose.—TNS
