BA, BSc admissions at Shravan Nath college from July 20

Admissions to BA and BSc courses on the basis of merit in Shravan Nath Math Jawaharlal Nehru (SMJN) College here will be done from July 20 to 23. For BSc courses, the admissions will done on July 20 and 21.

Chief entrance examination coordinator Dr Sunil Kumar Batra said the admission would be done on the basis of the merit list, which had been pasted on the college notice board.

For Bsc (physics, chemistry and mathematics), a minimum of 68 per cent has been fixed for a candidate from the general category for admission. For the Scheduled Castes, 61 per cent is the minimum criteria for admission while it is 60 per cent for candidates belonging to other backward classes.

For BSc (chemistry, botany and zoology), the minimum requirement for admission for the general category is 67 per cent, 60 per cent for the Scheduled Castes and 56 per cent for the OBCs.

Meanwhile, the results of the research entrance test (RET) have been declared at Gurukul Kangri University. As many as 189 of 663 candidates have passed the RET held on July 10 for 166 seats.
