Bareilly college students visit JU

A batch of MSc (plant sciences) students along with teaching staff of the Khandelwal PG College of Management Science and Technology (KCMT), Bareilly, Uttar Pardesh, visited the University of Jammu (JU) here today.

Accompanied by faculty members, comprising Dr Sourabh Kumar, Dr Manoj Joshi, Dr Nazia Qamar and Dr Himani Patel, the students had a brief interaction with JU Vice Chancellor RD Sharma.

They apprised the Vice Chancellor of the objective of their visit. Prof RD Sharma appreciated them for undertaking educational trip to Jammu varsity. He said besides academics and research, the students should also utilise the opportunity to have socio-cultural and heritage exchange for building strong relations, mutual understanding and national integration.

Later, the students visited the academic and research infrastructural facilities in the Department of Botany and the School of Biotechnology, besides interacting with faculty members, research scholars and students.

Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Head, Department of Botany, JU, expressed gratitude to the management of the KCMT, Bareilly, for having given students the opportunity to visit JU.
