For the 11 unfilled seats of BCom left in two colleges of the city on the second day of counselling today, Panjab University is going to conduct counselling on August 20 on the campus.
Records of the university revealed that for the three seats in Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector 45, in the UT Pool and eight seats in SGGS College, Sector 26, outside the UT Pool, the counselling will be conducted on the campus.
PU BCom coordinator Sanjay Kaushik said the counselling would be conducted in the UBS department as only two colleges were left.
On the second day of the BCom counselling, admission was conducted for 61 vacant seats, including the additional seats sanctioned by Panjab University. The admission started with the General category for General Pool (15 per cent outside Chandigarh) for ranks 1-1,500. The last seat in this category got filled at rank 1,483 with 102.8 as score. Admission for boys in this category closed at rank 1,399 and for girls at 1,483.
After completing the general category of General Pool (15 per cent outside Chandigarh) admission for all reserved categories of general pool (15 per cent outside Chandigarh) were done. The last vacant seat of the Scheduled Caste category of the General Pool got filled at rank 159 with 87 as score. Seats in various categories which remained vacant were further de-reserved and converted into General category for General Pool (15 per cent outside Chandigarh). The last seat after de-reservation was filled at rank 1,587 with 102.2 as score.
The admissions for the department of evening studies were also conducted today. — TNS
