Annual cultural fiesta at Manav Mangal

Manav Mangal Smart School, Phase X, Mohali, held its annual cultural fiesta, “Kilkari”, here today. The event kicked off with the presentation of “Accolades 2014-15”, in which achievements of students were presented. A large number of items, including the staging of Lord Krishna’s incarnations, a dance by tiny tots and a choreography “ZarreZarre Par”, were presented on the occasion. They also gave the message of love through a musical “Mere Nishaan.

Students bag top position in jet toy contest

Students of Learning Paths School cornered the glory by winning the first position in a skimmer and jet toy inter-school competition in Chennai. They were declared the national winner in the fifth grade category. The school team, including Himkaran Duggal, Rupandeep Singh, Varun Rastogi and Rishita, Ghosh, all students of Class V, competed with eight other regional winners. The other team of the school in the jet toy challenge for the sixth grade, was adjudged as first runners-up. Aastha Walia, Sova Guriya, Shivanshi Prashar and Harshpreet of Class VI presented a especially designed toy car, using a balloon and nozzle as an engine. Both teams worked under the guidance of Gourav Sharma and Sanjeev Kumar. — TNS
