Mussoorie, October 6
Around 120 students and seven escort teachers from Central School for Tibetans, Happy Valley, Mussoorie, met yoga guru Ramdev during their visit to the Patanjali Yogpeeth (centre) in Haridwar today.
The objective of the annual education excursion tour was to create awareness among the students towards practising yoga that has emerged as an important tool to keep mind, body and soul healthy in the life of the students.
Ramdev interacted with the children and enquired about their acquaintances and practice of yoga in their lives.
The schoolchildren and the escorting team of teachers also performed asanas at the yoga centre of the ashram. It was a memorable
moment for the students to perform yogic exercises in front of the yoga guru at the centre. The Patanjali Yoga Centre Part I & II are the main complexes where students found various spots to look on. The students also went in the famous herbal garden and medicine centres of the ashram.
Physical education teacher Pradeep Kumar guided the children to perform asanas at the centre. VK Sharma, RS Kandari, Manjeet Singh, T Tsomo and ASS Kanderi were the escorting teachers for the group.
