City student ranks 2nd in IIT JEE

Yamunanagar boy Bhavesh Dhingra who was studying in the city has bagged the all-India rank 2 in JEE Advanced examination, topping the North Zone.
Three other boys have also brought laurels to the city. Shivam, a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, has secured the second position among tricity students as he has scored AIR-94 followed by Naman, a student of Guru Gobind Singh School, Sector 35, Chandigarh, who has bagged the AIR-148. Anmol Singh, also a student of Guru Gobind Singh School, Sector 35, Chandigarh, has secured AIR-168.
Son of a retired bank manager Inderjeet Dhingra and Savita, Bhavesh gives credit to his parents for the success, saying he had never thought that he would get such a high score.
Speaking to Chandigarh Tribune, Bhavesh, who belongs to Yamunanagar, but has been studying in Chandigarh for the past two years, said though he expected that he would score well but never expected that he would top the north zone.
“Though always an A grader, I never ever topped my class. So, the results are a complete surprise for me,” said a beaming Bhavesh.“The competition was so tough that I did not expect to score this well. It just inspires me to work better and harder,” he added with the brightest of smiles lighting up his face.
