College students clean Camel’s Back Road

More than 200 students from St George’s College cleaned the Camel’s Back Road in Mussoorie on the second day of the cleanliness drive launched under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan today. The students wearing medical gloves and masks walked from Library Bazaar and collected heaps of garbage from the Camel’s Back Road right till Kulri Bazaar.

Yesterday, St. George’s College students had under the aegis of the Rotary Club cleaned the Mall Road from Picture Palace to Library Bazaar.

The students carrying large bags collected garbage from the Mall Road to keep the town clean. Principal of the school Bro Tomy Verghese said the drive was being conducted under the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan with an aim to spread message of cleanliness among people and inculcate the sense of responsibility among students towards the nation. St. George’s College teacher John Nanda, Rotary Club president Sanjay Agarwal, and Uttarakhand Hotel Association president Sandeep Sahni were present on the occasion.
